We’re settling into our new ATX home base the best way we know how: by popping up at the Austin Marathon! More than 17,000 runners are expected to participate in this annual running event that sprawls across the downtown area. The route will allow runners to discover some of Austin’s most iconic landmarks including the UT Tower, Lady Bird Lake, and the I Love You Mural on South Congress Avenue. Participation is open to runners of all abilities and experience levels. As the racers stride on, runners and spectators alike are invited to shop and explore unique vendors and enjoy live music performances by more than 18 local bands along the 26.2-mile route. For those who prefer a shorter race distance, a half marathon and a 5K race are also open for registration. Register for the Austin Marathon here.
