Jack-o-lanterns, corn mazes, ghosts & ghouls...did someone say Halloween? We did! 🙋 Our favorite spooky holiday is just around the corner and you don’t want to let it pass you by! Here are 10 things you can do to get into the Halloween spirit this season.
1. Throw on a classic horror film!
When it comes to holiday activities, there's nothing that will get you more into the Halloween-y swing of things than a few jump scares and a pint of fake blood.
2. Or, choose an iconic Halloween movie!
If thrillers aren’t your cup of cider, you’re in luck because there are plenty of feel-good Halloween movies to choose from. Some of our personal favorites include Halloween Town, Casper and It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.
3. Jam out to a Halloween playlist!
Dust off that old mixed CD from the costume party you threw back in college and sing or dance to your heart's content. If that CD is long gone, there are plenty of Halloween playlists to choose from or create your own! Our most loved spooky song tracks include: "The Witch Doctor", "Thriller", and we couldn't forget, “This Is Halloween” from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
4. Have you carved a jack-o-lantern yet?
Surely this is a sticky activity, but it's a fun one! Step up your jack-o-lantern game this year and browse the web for an outstanding outline that's sure to wow trick-or-treaters.
5. Take advantage of your local Halloween attractions!
Grab a group of friends this weekend and head to your local haunted house or scare yourself silly on a haunted hayride!
6. You can still enjoy the Halloween season – even if you're a self-proclaimed scaredy-cat!
If you’re like our team member Caleigh and refuse to step foot into a haunted house, there is still plenty of fun to be had! Try out your local corn maze or go on a hayride during the daylight hours.
7. Visit your local Halloween costume store!
Take a day trip to your local Halloween costume store – you’ll leave full of inspiration for your own costume!
8. Halloween costumes aren’t just for us humans!
Help your four-legged companion get into the Halloween spirit as well with a costume of their own.
9. Bake a holiday treat!
Starbucks' pumpkin spice latte isn't the only drink of the season. Test out your baking skills and make a holiday snack! Our go-to pick is warm apple cider and roasted pumpkin seeds.
