The TCS New York City Marathon is just around the corner, bringing a weekend of racing, community, and celebration to New York City. As the Official Headphone Partner of the TCS New York City Marathon, we’re bringing a lineup of online activities, in-person experiences, and community events to marathon week. We’re also introducing the TCS New York City Marathon Co-branded Edition OpenRun Pro 2, featuring a special design inspired by the event.

Celebrating the TCS New York City Marathon with Shokz

From online activities to in-person events around New York City, there are several ways to connect with the Shokz community during marathon week. This year, we’ve put together a new lineup of in-person activities, including shakeout runs, community meetups, and opportunities to connect with fellow runners and Shokz fans. Here’s what’s happening and where to find us.

Online Activities

During the TCS New York City Marathon period, we’re running an email sign-up giveaway. Participants have a chance to win prizes, including the limited-edition TCS New York City Marathon Co-branded Edition OpenRun Pro 2, the standard OpenRun Pro 2, and other items.

Meet Shokz During Marathon Week 

Marathon week includes opportunities to try open-ear sports headphones, prepare for race day, and connect with fellow runners. Activities include the TCS NYC Marathon Expo, shakeout runs organized by running groups, and meetups and celebrations through The Shokz Community Hub.

TCS NYC Marathon Expo

At the Shokz booth, visitors can try open-ear headphones, browse pre-race gear, and learn about the device engraving service.

Shake Out with Shokz

A shakeout run gives runners a chance to loosen up before race day and connect with others in the running community. Several group activities are scheduled throughout marathon week.

• Dashing Whippets Last Workout — October 27, 5:00 PM; Bethesda Terrace, Central Park.

• MIM Shakeout (Girls Only) — October 28, 5:00 PM–9:00 PM; Arrive Wellness Showroom.

• Team ULTRA Shakeout — October 30, 8:00 AM–10:00 AM; Gin Mill.

• TEAM WEPA NYC Shakeout Run — October 31, 9:00 AM; Trends LIC

• Cooldown Running Shakeout — October 31, 9:00 AM–10:00 AM; Columbus Circle.

The Shokz Community Hub

The Shokz Community Hub brings together runner meetups, athlete appearances, course-side cheering, and post-race celebrations. Scheduled activities include:

• Conner Mantz Meet-and-Greet — October 29, 2:00 PM–3:00 PM; Expo Main Stage.

• Hellen Obiri Meet-and-Greet — October 30, 2:00 PM–4:00 PM; NYRR RUNCENTER.

• Cheer Zone — November 1, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM; Mile 16.9 on the course.

• Post-Race Party — November 1, 2:00 PM–8:00 PM; Mandarin Oriental Ballroom.

OpenRun Pro 2 Running Headphones

A Special Edition for the NYC Marathon

The TCS New York City Marathon Co-branded Edition OpenRun Pro 2 features a distinctive blue-and-gold color scheme, complemented by a marathon-inspired emblem on the frame. The special exterior design sets it apart from the standard OpenRun Pro 2, while the core features and performance remain the same.
